Introduction

Hey, welcome to my web-site. Finally got around to at least whip up something. I write software for a living. Not just any kind of software but lately really cool 3D and physics simulation stuff. My aim is always to try to put one and one together with the hope the outcome will be more than two. If that is the case I am interested and it may form the core of a new idea.

As I go about my business I have heaps of ideas or concepts that are outside my commercial interest . Also while doing my work I whip up the odd tool here. So rather than hog all this thus I thought to share it here. Maybe it is of some use, maybe it is food for thought. Either way, it would be a waste to do nothing with these ideas.

3D Models

A lot of my work is based around the building of all sorts of simulators. For these I need 3D models of all kinds and shapes. After mucking around with arcane editors like 3D Studio I found Sketch-up years ago before Google bought them out. I was impressed then but it had issues. Well glad Google put some money in that kitty because they put Sketchup on a whole new level and it is my editor of choice. Pitty so many morons upload their home made cube to the 3D warehouse Thus polluting the collection of great models that can be found there. In fact I have uploaded some myself. Google Sketchup also proves to be a very handy tool to build low polygon 3D models and even "game levels"

Freeware

While going about my business I write the odd tool here and there that helps me to make my job easier. I also have some real old crap, some of which I might fix up and re-publish here. Have a look, I think you might find the web page photo gallery generator handy. Also make sure you read up about my lasted addition Pastry This handy clipboard image manager thingy will save you a lot of agony when you often share, upload or publish images

.GLScene

As a keen Delphi programmer I came across an open source library called GLScene. This library provides a set of design-time components that make it easy to implement OpenGL based 3D in your applications. An incredibly clever piece of work that is supported by a great bright group of people that always seem ready to help you out.

If you program in delphi and consider to take up programming, give GLScene some consideration. I am proud to be associated with this open source library.

Ideas

"What if...." and a long theory follows about some unconventional half baked idea. But sometimes they seem not that dumb. So since I am not in power generation or automotive control systems, I am happy to share and discus those ideas here. Maybe they are of use to someone and of course if you do make millions maybe you could send me a thank you note with, ooohh let's say $200.000 in it? Cheers.

Google

I am an absolute Google fanboy. These guys just get it.  My email is with Google, my search engine is Google of course (Who isn't)  but I also  run  as much of my business on Google as I can.  All documents, contracts, spreadsheets, business case studies, you name it. They are on Google Documents. My desktop is a Google Home page with cool gadgets like Todo lists. World clocks to stay in touch with my programming buddies around the world. I model in Google Sketchup. Lookup everything in Google Earth and I don't use Google Talk. Don't ask me why, I just don't know. No desire to even try for some reason.

Google rocks and I dedicated one page to leave ideas and feature enhancements that I hope Google will pick up one day.
